The effect doesn't decrease unless the player stops blocking. New effect applied when a player is attacked by an Aether mob while blocking with a shield. If a mob is strong to a damage type, the attack sound will be negated and a blocking sound will be played.Īether mobs are strong towards Vanilla damage, so Vanilla weapons will deal less damage to Aether mobs. If a mob is weak to a damage type, the attack will display critical hit particles in the color of the damage type. Some mobs are weak to a damage type, meaning the weapon will deal more damage, and some mobs are strong to a damage type, meaning the weapon will deal less damage. There are three damage types: Slash, Pierce, and Impact.ĭifferent Aether weapons deal different damage types as detailed in their tooltips. Reworked the damage system from previous versions. Having an effect applied creates particles. They can be filled with water to make Water Vials for crafting into curative vials.Īechor Plants can inflict Toxin, Cockatrices can inflict Cockatrice Venom, Tempests can inflict Stun, Burrukais can inflict Fracture, and Varanys can inflict Freeze. The modders could fix it by putting their inv slots on a separate screen.Added effect curative items: Antivenom Vial (Cockatrice Venom), Antidote Vial (Toxin), Bandage (Bleeding), and Splint (Fracture)Īdded Scatterglass Vials, craftable with 3 Scatterglass. Tl Dr: the aether makes the inventory too big. The different inv GUI for aether items could also solve the gloves/cape/necklace/rings/etc disappearing on death because the game doesn't know they should be dropped just have the Aether's inv drop everything separately. I realize that the added slots in the inventory are somewhat iconic of the Aether II and I, but they are somewhat troublesome when it comes to mod compatibility, and I fully expect someone to make a version of NEI to accommodate the Aether II, but inv tweaks doesn't work for the same reason: the GUI is different than inv tweaks coded for. This could possibly accommodate the addition of an item that increases inventory space if it were added, plus having the recipes available in-game could help new players enjoy the aether more, finding out what to use icestone for was a nightmare, and It would help to know wether or not an item is dungeon-specific or not. The solution would be to make the extra equips that the aether II adds be accessible via another GUI, pressing "h" for example. It works with NEI and also adds (mostly) the same accessory options. RPG inventory also allows for more accessories like necklaces, gloves, capes, rings, and shields but the difference is that it requires you to open a separate GUI by pressing end. I'm guessing that the inventory GUI being altered by the Aether II is the problem, which would mean that mods which work with the normal GUI would have problems.
